The guys at WordPress announced that the 2.2.1 bug fix release for Wordpress 2.2 is now available. With the help of the community, they made some bug fixes, including:

* Atom feed validation fixes
* XML-RPC fixes
* Widget backward compatibility fixes
* Widget layout fixes for IE7
* Page and Text Widget improvements

But most important is that 2.2.1 is not just a bug fix release, because, while fixing some bugs, the Wordpress team found some security issues also and fixed them. Here are the vulnerabilities found and fixed:

* Remote shell injection in PHPMailer
* Remote SQL injection in XML-RPC Discovered by Alexander Concha.
* Unescaped attribute in default theme

So we advise you to upgrade to 2.2.1 as quick as possible. You can download it HERE.
